    Goals / Remit

B Lab is the nonprofit network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. It began in 2006 with the idea that business could lead the way towards a new, stakeholder-driven model.

Today there are many B Labs across the globe (forming the B Global Network). All B Labs certify B Corporations, which are companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

B Lab Europe was founded in 2013 and currently oversees the growth of the movement in Benelux, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland and other countries across the continent. We mobilize the B Corp community in Europe towards collective action to address society’s most critical challenges and, in collaboration with our Global Network, we create standards, policies, tools, and programs that shift the behavior, culture, and structure of capitalism.
