    Goals / Remit

Through engaging with EU and U.S policy makers, EU Institutions, United Nations agencies and other relevant stakeholders, we aim to ensure that the HIV response remains a high priority on the global policy agenda to achieve universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support. Our presence in the three main global policy centres (as well as in the Netherlands through STOP AIDS NOW! and in the UK through the International HIV/AIDS Alliance) aims to contribute to harmonized HIV policy messages, building linkages between advocacy groups active in the different locations and voicing the concerns and needs of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance’s and STOP AIDS NOW! partners working in the field.

Stop AIDS Alliance’s offices in Brussels, Geneva and Washington D.C. focus on common and location-specific policy and advocacy work, based on the following objectives:

Strong and targeted political support for HIV
AIDS sensitive approaches to health systems strengthening strategies
Effective integration of HIV in development cooperation policies
Increased financing and improved aid effectiveness for the HIV response
