World Circular Economy forum (WCEF 2022 and WCEF 2023) with contributions from the European Commission, Digipower Investigation, Digiprofile test, TEHDAS - the joint action Towards the European Health Data Space - advances more extensive use of health data. The project provides elements to the European Commision's forthcoming legislative proposal on the European Health Data Space.
Workshops and Webinars on key policy topics, targeting European and international stakeholders, e.g. in January 2022 a webinar titled ´The EU's Sustainable Product Initiative (SPI) and producer ownership models are key to mainstreaming circular business models.
Sitra, The Finnish Innovation Fund Coordinates the EU Horizon2020 funded PSlifestyle project that will empower EU citizens across eight countries to adopt a sustainable lifestyle and co-create versatile and topical data for decision makers on people's readiness to change their consumption habits in amore sustainable direction. Publications: Green to Scale, Nordic Green to Scale, Industrializing deep retrofits through innovation in the buildings sector, Communication and promotion of an 124C/BPIE report informing the EC's EURICS/ACEI strategy, Foster demand for low-carbon cement and steel through innovation and public procurement, Developing a 2040 vision for circularity in appliances, 35 proposals to make the European data strategy work, A roadmap for a fair data economy, CEN CWA 17525 “ Elements of fair and functioning data economy: identity, consent and logging”, Fair Data Economy Rulebook, IHAN Blueprint, Digitrail Surve. ySitra is collaborating with Climate-KIC, Energy Transitions Commission (ETC), European Climate Foundation, European Forest Institute (EFI), Material Economics and Vinnova in a project that provides an overview on the future demand and supply of bioresources in the EU, and seeks to chart a way forward to direct bioresources to the most advantageous uses in the transition to a net-zero economy. The project is split in two Parts. Part 1 is focused on consultation, outreach, and stakeholder engagement in Q2/2021; Part 2 on securing a long-lasting impact through a thorough technical documentation, deriving global implications and deep dives on key topics, to be completed by end of Q3/2021, Sustainable Products Initiative and Climate Pact.
Sitra is collaborating with Vivid Economics on a circular economy and biodiversity study, to be published in spring 2022. The study looks at the economic system that has brought destruction to the natural world and the potential of circular economy in addressing the drivers of biodiversity loss.Other activities
