Communication activities
1) HF POLICY NETWORK (HFPN)
HPP acts as Secretariat for the HF Policy Network, a multidisciplinary group of politicians from across Europe working with patients, health professionals and other stakeholders to lead significant policy changes that may improve the lives of people with heart failure (HF).
The HFPN has ongoing relationships with several MEPs who donate their time for free to support (and act as Members of) the HFPN. In 2018, the HFPN launched the Handbook of multidisciplinary and integrated heart failure care (at an event in the European Parliament on September 2018). After this the HFPN disseminated printed copies of the Handbook and awareness raising information on heart failure to interested MEPs. The HFPN also facilitates comms efforts within the Brussels political community, and also more widely across Europe at national and regional level, via the provision on online and social media materials (e.g. event videos, twitter feed etc). For more details of the Network's history and activities in 2018 please see www.hfpolicynetwork.eu.
2) HF ELECTION CAMPAIGN
HFPN, for which The Health Policy Partnership acts as secretariat, co-developed a campaign calling on MEPs and European Parliamentary candidates to pledge their support for improving the lives of EU citizens with heart failure.
The heart failure pledge campaign was launched on 23 April 2019 online and ran until after the European Parliament elections on 23–26 May 2019.
2) ALL.CAN
We provide secretariat for a multi stakeholder initiative, All.Can, aiming to improve the efficiency of cancer care. This involves at least one MEP and a number of European-level organisations, and we organised an MEPS against cancer seminar in the European Parliament in January 2018.Other activities
