    Goals / Remit

    TIM develops new generation infrastructures and services with the goal of ensuring the achievement of the Gigabit Society goals in Italy and Europe, considering that digital technologies are the basis for a smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. 2017 was a record year, driven by ultra broadband growing penetration, strong performance from main subsidiaries, networks in Italy and Brazil faster and wider than ever.
    TIM was recognized as most successful Italian brand among the top 500 in the world. In 2017, TIM accelerated investments to 5,7 bln euro (4,6 bln on the domestic market), the UBB coverage level increased from 60% to 77% of population, while 4G network reached more than 98% of italians. In Italy, there was a strong increase of the UBB client-base, 1.2 mln. fixed and 2.1 mln. mobile, driven by the the increasing demand of data and content. The Group's revenues increased to 19,8 bln euro (+2,7% YoY ORGANIC)
    TIMVision clients increased to 1.3 ml. (+ 63%)
    A solid growth was registered also in Brazil, with EBITDA growing of 15,3% and ARPU growing of 12,2%.
