    Communication activities

UIPI regularly organises events related to EU policy and EU agenda. Our newsletter and internal communication channels allow us to keep our national, regional and local associations aware of EU policy developments.

We also publishes comparative studies on legal issues related to property rights or real estate taxation in EU member states and conduct surveys to contribute to the public debate.

UIPI organises annually a "Property Day", an event dedicated to issues relevant for property owners.

We are also organising a Renovation Tour across Europe to raise awareness about EU policy on energy efficiency and sustainability in the building sector. These events take place at least twice and year and are organised with the support of our national members. They provide a platform to foster exchanges between individual property owners and EU, national and local policy-makers. They are also the occasion to share best practice examples.

UIPI is also a partner in several EU-funded projects that aim to improve the sustainability of the European building stock. UIPI objectives is to raise awareness help property owners to tackle the problem of high-energy consumption in buildings.

    UIPI holds a biennial Congress.

    Other activities

The UIPI is involved in many issues, including general housing; taxation and inheritance concerns; technical matters and new regulations such as energy saving in buildings; the private rented agenda; as well as universal consumer rights and social responsibilities. The UIPI also supports property restitution and defends the fundamental human right to own property.
