Goals / Remit
RUSAL is a vertically integrated global aluminium company that is among the largest producers of primary aluminium and alloys in the world, with 40 production assets located in 13 countries with the annual output of 3.7 million tonnes. It is the largest supplier of high quality low-carbon aluminium to the European market.
RUSAL is a private company listed on the Hong Kong Exchange. It is a committed and socially responsible participant in both the European and other markets around the world, and it conducts business in line with EU and Member States’ legislation and the rules and norms of international trade.
RUSAL is a significant employer in the EU, where it has three production facilities: Aughinish Alumina in Ireland, KUBAL in Sweden, and Eurallumina in Italy.
RUSAL is an active participant in the international climate change agenda. While the Company is already among the world’s lowest-carbon aluminium producers, its Climate Strategy up to 2025 provides for specific greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.
More than 95% of RUSAL capacities run on carbon-free power sources, which is critical for European buyers and the EU CO2 emission reduction policy. In 2017 RUSAL announced the launch of its new brand ALLOW, aluminium with a low carbon footprint.
