    UEG, or United European Gastroenterology, is a professional non-profit organisation combining all the leading European societies concerned with digestive disease. As Europe’s home for multidisciplinary gastroenterology, we unite over 50,000 engaged professionals from national and specialist societies, individual digestive health experts and related scientists from all fields.
    Our mission is to act as the united and trusted voice of European gastroenterology and to be recognised as the leading authority for digestive health. We promote science, research, education and excellent quality of care and we aim to reduce health inequalities across Europe.
    Our vision is to reduce the burden of digestive diseases and improve digestive health.

    MEP Digestive Health Group:
    Launched in 2021, the Digestive Health Group is an informal, cross-party platform of Members of the European Parliament from different EU Member States. The group currently counts 12 supporters who participate voluntarily. The group aims to raising awareness of the need for better prevention, improved treatment and greater understanding of the causes of digestive diseases.

    The Group is run by the UEG secretariat.
