The University of Sussex is a leading research-intensive university established in 1961. Over 75% of research activity at Sussex is categorised as world leading or internationally excellent in terms of originality, significance and rigour, according to the Research Excellence Framework. It has an excellent international reputation and is ranked in the top 50 UK universities and 160th in the world.
