Goals / Remit
Das Wiener Forum für Demokratie und Menschenrechte ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der in Forschung, Politik, Bildung und Lehre auf dem Gebiet der Menschenrechte, Demokratie und Rechtsstaatlichkeit tätig ist. Der Vorstand wird von einem Beirat unterstützt, der aus unterschiedlichen akademischen Disziplinen und Fachrichtungen zusammengesetzt ist. Kooperationspartner*innen und Fördergeber*innen sind nationale, europäische und internationale Institutionen.

- Das Projekt Notfall Demokratie erarbeitet eine wissenschaftlich fundierte Handreichung zum Schutz rechtsstaatlicher und den Grund- und Menschenrechten verpflichteter Demokratien. Die unterschiedlichen Beiträge sind interdisziplinär und geben ein profundes Gesamtbild der Situation im österreichischen und europäischen Kontext.
- Das Erasmus+Projekt LICEAL zielt darauf ab, erwachsene Lernende, insbesondere jene, die mit Schwierigkeiten auf dem Arbeitsmarkt und sozialer Marginalisierung konfrontiert sind, bei der Entwicklung sozialer sowie demokratischer und Bürgerkompetenzen zu unterstützen und damit zu ihrer sozialen Einbindung und aktiven Teilnahme am demokratischen Leben sowie zu ihrer Arbeitsmarktfähigkeit beizutragen.
- Netzwerk EUropa in der Schule hat zum Ziel, die europapolitische Bildung im Unterricht zu stärken. Der Preis "Wir sind Europa" holt herausragende vorwissenschaftliche Arbeiten an AHS und Diplomarbeiten an BHS mit einem deutlichen Bezug zur Europäischen Union vor den Vorhang
