Goals / Remit
Die Mission des WIFO ist es, eine Brücke zwischen akademischer Grundlagenforschung und wirtschaftspoliti-scher Anwendung zu schlagen, um zur Lösung sozioökonomischer Herausforderungen beizutragen und sach-liche Grundlagen für Entscheidungen in Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft zu schaffen. Im Kern der Brückenfunktion des WIFO stehen mit wissenschaftlicher Sorgfalt und Integrität erarbeitete empirische Analysen.
Zum Leistungsspektrum zählen:
- Analyse und Prognose der wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und ökologischen Entwicklung,
- wissenschaftliche Forschung und Analysen zu gesellschaftlich relevanten Themen,
- qualitätsgesicherte Wirtschaftsdaten,
- Simulation und Evaluierung der Auswirkungen wirtschaftspolitischer Maßnahmen,
- evidenzbasierte wirtschaftspolitische Beratung auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene,
- sachliche Informationen für Wirtschaftspolitik, öffentliche und internationale Organisationen,
- Konzeption und Durchführung von (Unternehmens-)UmfragenMain EU files targeted
