Goals / Remit
Der ZVEI setzt sich für die gemeinsamen Interessen der Elektroindustrie in Deutschland und auf internationaler Ebene ein. Getragen wird dieses Engagement von rund 160 Mitarbeitern im Hauptamt und über 5.000 Angehörigen der Mitgliedsunternehmen im Ehrenamt.
Mehr als 1.600 Unternehmen haben sich für die Mitgliedschaft im ZVEI entschieden. Sie beschäftigen rund 90 Prozent der Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter der Elektroindustrie in Deutschland. Unter seinen Mitgliedern finden sich Global Player genauso wie Mittelständler und Familienunternehmen.
Die Unternehmen der Elektroindustrie haben eines gemeinsam: Sie sind besonders innovativ. Etwa 40 Prozent ihres Umsatzes entfallen auf neuartige Produkte und Systeme. Jede dritte Innovation des Verarbeitenden Gewerbes basiert auf Lösungen der Elektroindustrie. Grundlage dieser Innovationskraft sind die hohen Aufwendungen für Forschung und Entwicklung: Im Jahr 2017 investierten die Unternehmen der Elektroindustrie hier insgesamt 17,2 Milliarden Euro.
Der ZVEI repräsentiert mit seinen 22 Fachverbänden und vier korporativen Mitgliedern eine Branche mit 191 Milliarden Euro Umsatz im Jahr 2017 und rund 868.000 Beschäftigten. Mit den noch einmal 736.000 Mitarbeitern außerhalb Deutschlands ist die Wertschöpfung der Elektroindustrie am stärksten von allen Branchen global vernetzt.Main EU files targeted

Der ZVEI finanziert sich durch die Beiträge seiner mehr als 1.600 Mitglieder. Die jeweilige Beitragshöhe ist in einer von der Mitgliederversammlung verabschiedeten Beitragsordnung geregelt. Die Mitgliedschaft im ZVEI ist freiwillig. -
