    Goals / Remit

The Access to Medicine Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation based in the Netherlands. Our mission is to stimulate and guide healthcare companies to do more for people living in low- and middle-income countries without access to medicine. We talk to experts about the actions healthcare companies can and should be taking and then analyse what they are actually doing. In practice, that means analysing healthcare companies’ actions and policies regarding access to medicine using a rigorous scoring and evaluation process. We benchmark companies against each other, and identify best practices and progress gaps. We make all of our results public and use our findings in our own outreach work to expand good practice across the industry. The Foundation publishes the Access to Medicine Index (ATMI), the Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark (ARMB) and various thematic studies, offering deep dives on critical access issues.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
