Goals / Remit
ASD-STAN is an Associated Body of CEN (European Committee for Standardization), and is responsible for the technical development of aerospace standards defining products, materials, test methods and procedures for the construction, maintenance and use of aircraft and space vehicles including their propulsion units, equipment and electric equipment. We develop specifications for aerospace applications, mainly in the field of engineering materials and components and submit the ASD-STAN prEN standards to CEN for their adoption as European Standards. Our standards are used by the main aircraft manufacturers in the production of aerospace parts.
