    Goals / Remit

AirHelp is a technology company specialised in air passenger rights. We help travellers get compensation for delayed or canceled flights and in instances of denied boarding. Our mission to help passengers receive the compensation they are entitled to, by holding airlines accountable for flight disruptions that are out of a passenger’s control.
We have been has been a global leader in air passenger support since 2013. In 10 years we’ve grown from a ground-breaking start-up to getting over 2 million travellers paid the compensation they’re owed. we work with travel agency and airlines to streamline compensation processes and improve the overall traveller experience during disruption.

    Main EU files targeted

AirHelp is impacted by EU regulation in several ways. Our company operates in a highly regulated industry. For example, EU Regulation 261/2004 provides air passengers with certain rights, and AirHelp's platform is designed to help passengers exercise these rights. In addition, our business is impacted by general digital regulations, such as the EU's GDPR, the upcoming A.I. regulations, or the Cybersecurity Act. As a tech company operating in Europe, we are closely following all developments and will continue to comply with EU regulations and work with policymakers to help shape the regulatory landscape in ways that benefit our customers and the tech industry as a whole.

More specifically, we are currently working on the revision of interpretative guidelines of EC261 as well as the passenger mobility package. And of course also the overall revision of EC261 that was started in 2013 and which is currently stuck in the European council.

In March, we are organising an event in Strasburg on the state of passenger rights together with MEP Robert Biedron.
