Goals / Remit
Our mission is to protect nature and a healthy environment for future generations both in Czechia and abroad. In our activities, we rely on three components - public involvement in the decision-making process, expert opinions and justified requests, and media coverage of the problems. In the long-term, we are promoting less waste and hazardous substances, wild living rivers and diverse nature, and the right of citizens to make decisions about the environment.
Main EU files targeted
Main Eu Legislation proposals: We work on chemicals legislation and specific products legislation in relation to chemicals and the European Strategy for Sustainability of Chemicals and Sustainable Products Initiative + specific EU legislation: REACH, POPs regulation, Toys directive, ROHS directive etc.
We work on waste legislation (Waste Framework directive, European Pollution and Transfer Register (EPRTR), European Union Emissions Trading System, Circular Economy Action Plan and Waste Shipment directive)
We also comment on the EU position in relation to international agreements including Stockholm, Basel, Minamata and Aarhus Convention.
Additionally, we comment on Water Framework directive, Natura 2000. Generally, we also work on implementing EU Green Deal priorities in relation to major campaing goals of Arnika.Address

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
