    Goals / Remit

The Excellence in Paediatrics Institute (EIP) is a not-for-profit association that connects and provides continuous medical education to a global network of health care providers.

EIP's Mission is to improve child health and healthcare globally by providing access (free-to-view in many cases) to the latest practical skills, expert advice and peer-led guidance. EIP members have access to the EIP Community, an online community platform that targets to mobilise members to actively participate and contribute in both providing and participating in CME (webinars, conferences, lectures) and initiatives (Vaccines Initiative and Vaccines Together, Spot the Early Signs of Rare Diseases etc.), Focus Groups and Surveys.

    Communication activities

EIP has been working for many years on overcoming barriers to vaccination uptake in childhood covering HPV, influenza, meningitis at separate meetings across Europe, Middle East and Asia and has included infectious disease sessions on the conference programmes and CME online courses on overcoming vaccine hesitancy in all past of the nine annual conferences.

For the past 7 years this approach has been broadened to take a Life Course approach linking with Adolescent Medicine and General Practitioners to include as many partner organisations as possible, delivering the annual LifeCourse Immunisation Focus Group (now in its 8th Year), targeted Working Groups, the Vaccines Together Portal, and allied planned actions and Campaigns to achieve its mission of overcoming the barriers to vaccination uptake (public and HCP uptake).
