Assolombarda è la principale associazione territoriale di Confindustria; promuove la crescita del territorio e del Paese attraverso lo sviluppo dell'industria e dell'imprenditorialità, rappresentando circa 6.981 imprese attive in tutti i settori merceologici nella Città Metropolitana di Milano e nelle Province di Lodi, Monza Brianza e Pavia, con oltre 426.888 lavoratori all'interno dei territori di competenza ed alcune centinaia di migliaia nel territorio nazionale. L’ufficio di Rappresentanza di Assolombarda a Bruxelles svolge principalmente attività di:
• coordinamento e supporto all’attività di progettazione europea a beneficio delle imprese associate, tramite la collaborazione di società partner specializzate nella progettazione nell’ambito dei vari programmi europei;
• rappresentanza degli interessi delle imprese associate di Assolombarda presso le istituzioni e le piattaforme europee e preparazione di documenti di posizionamento e di indirizzo;
• monitoraggio ed informazione sulle politiche, sulle ricerche e sulle indagini condotte a livello europeo da istituzioni e centri di ricerca e supporto alle attività del Centro Studi di Assolombarda per l’approfondimento e la divulgazione dei principali risultati.
