    Der Bundesverband Deutscher Pflanzenzüchter e.V. (BDP) mit Sitz in Bonn und Berlin ist die berufsständische Vertretung der rund 130 Pflanzenzuchtunternehmen und Saatenhändler in Deutschland aus den Bereichen Landwirtschaft, Gemüse und Zierpflanzen. Mit einer F&E-Quote (Forschung & Entwicklung) von 15 Prozent gehört die Pflanzenzüchtung zu den innovativsten Branchen in Deutschland. Rund 5.800 Beschäftigte finden in ihr einen Arbeitsplatz und legen mit ihrer Tätigkeit die Basis für eine erfolgreiche Landwirtschaft und die darauf folgenden Stufen der Wertschöpfungskette.
