    Goals / Remit

    The Channel Islands Brussels Office (CIBO) was established in 2011 as the joint office of the Governments of Guernsey and Jersey (the "Channel Islands"). CIBO represents the Channel Islands to the EU institutions and advises the two Governments on EU policy issues. Guernsey and Jersey are autonomous dependencies of the British Crown. The EU-UK Trade & Cooperation Agreement (TCA) applies to the Islands in respect of the relationship between the Islands and the EU in relation to: (i) trade in goods, including customs tariff and procedures, as well as recognition of certain regulatory standards in relation to agricultural and manufactured goods; and (ii) access to fisheries resources in the territorial waters of each Bailiwick.
