Goals / Remit
The Conseil de Coopération Economique (CCE) is an advisory board created in 2002 on economic sectorial issues, bringing together high-level managers from major listed European companies.
Since its establishment the CCE expanded its range of activities towards the EU to support the region’s integration and development. It has therefore realized a close and active cooperation with the European Commission and has provided several reports on major economic issues for the European Councils.
Its role to advise European decision-makers is carried on through policy recommendations produced by its technical working groups (Task Forces). CCE Task Forces are set up on a regularly basis and consist of executive members of the companies that are part of the CCE network.
The CCE addresses the development of EU policy and legislation for the public interest, across five major policy areas, as set out below.
1) Financial services;
2) Climate and energy;
3) Transport and infrastructure;
4) Competitiveness and industrial policy;
5) Digital agenda.
The CCE assists French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese governments on bilateral and European issues (the CCE has been placed under the permanent patronage of these governments since 2004).Main EU files targeted
