    Goals / Remit

    E3PO’s objective is to promote the benefits that public authorities and the users of public services can derive from the management of SGEI in partnerships with the private sector.

    E3PO wants to make available to EU decision-makers the expertise and field understating of its members. It seeks to establish a level playing field from a legislative and regulatory standpoint between public and private management of public infrastructure and services.

    Our missions can be summarised as follows:
    * raising awareness and promoting management of public services in the context of public-private partnerships (concessions or public procurements);
    * valuing members' achievements in terms of economic, social and environmental efficiency;
    * being the European institutions' partner in areas of common interest to its members, particularly those concerning the SGEI's management framework from a legal, regulatory and contractual point of view.

    E3PO is a non-profit association located in Brussels representing the Voice of European PPP Operating Companies in Infrastructures and Services that was created in 2008.

    E3PO consists of national, European and international federations, representing sectoral and pluri-sectoral private companies that are active in the operation of Services of General Economic Interest (SGEI) under contract concluded with public authorities following a competitive bid in the following sectors: motorways, water and sanitation, waste management, energy efficiency, public transport, catering.

    Together, the members of E3PO are active in sectors that represent, EU-wide, more than 200 billions € turn over and 1,600,000 jobs.
