    Goals / Remit

    The European Biostimulants Industry Council (EBIC) promotes the contribution of plant biostimulants to make agriculture more sustainable and resilient and in doing so promotes the growth and development of the European Biostimulant Industry. EBIC was founded in June 2011 as the European Biostimulant Industry Consortium and changed its named when it gained legal identity in 2013.

    The organisation has two member company representatives who represent EBIC in DG GROW's Commission Expert Group on Fertilising Products, and one member company who represents EBIC in the Expert Group on EU Fertilisers Market Observatory. Other member company employees may occasionally meet with EU officials. The secretariat is provided by Prospero & Partners (a consultancy that is also in the Transparency Register). Senior Consultants conducted the public affairs work, with several support staff dedicating part of their time to supporting them.
