    Goals / Remit

    European Boating Industry (EBI) represents the recreational boating industry in Europe. Its mission is to advance and represent a sustainable boating and nautical tourism industry #MadeInEurope. Through its national member associations and sustaining members, it represents all related sectors, such as boatbuilders, engine manufacturers, equipment manufacturing, refit and maintenance companies, boat dealers and importers, marinas and yacht harbours, boat charter and rental companies, water sports rental companies, and other related companies. The industry is a significant contributor to the European economy, representing 32,000 companies that employ over 280,000 people directly. The vast majority of the sector is made up of Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises. It is a key contributor to coastal and maritime tourism, the blue economy with a strong export market.
