    Goals / Remit

    EBF is the EU-wide representative trade organisation for botanicals and botanical food supplements. EBF regroups manufacturers of botanicals extracts, food supplements and national federations in this area.

    EBF is the European-wide organisation dedicated to addressing scientific and regulatory aspects of botanicals and botanical ingredients as foodstuffs. EBF strives to contribute to an optimal safety and appropriate labelling of those products and to secure a free and sustainable access to those products for European consumers using them for health purposes.

    EBF acts as a forum for exchange of information, experience and knowledge between botanical experts from companies, associations, academia and authorities at European level. Its membership is comprised of companies, representative national organisations and individual academics and botanical experts.

    EBF is a partner in the EU funded 7th Framework Program PlantLIBRA project. For more information: www.botanicalforum.eu
