    Goals / Remit

    The ECGI is an international scientific non-profit association. Our primary role is to undertake, commission and disseminate research on corporate governance. Based upon impartial and objective research and the collective knowledge and wisdom of our members, we can advise on the formulation of corporate governance policy and development of best practice and undertake any other activity that will improve understanding and exercise of corporate governance.

    Other financial info

    ECGI is a voluntary collective and many of the activities (e.g. conferences) are led by professors around the world. Therefore, the main operational cost is staffing and the main research costs are communications, website and (some) conferences. The organisation operates on a very minimal budget. There is one FTE and a a small team of part-time freelance workers. We don't receive any public funding.
