    Goals / Remit

    Geopa is the European association officially recognised by the European Commission as the European social partner representing 22 national employer associations in the agricultural sector.
    Geopa's objectives are:
    i. To develop effective strategic policies and initiatives to promote the agricultural sector as a safe, fair and prosperous working environment;
    ii. To represent the national employer associations for the agricultural sector in all European public platforms such as the European social dialogue, the European Platform Tackling Undeclared Work and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work;
    iii. To support the implementation of EU legislation and initiatives such as the Pact for Skills with a view to guarantee the prosperity and sustainability of the sector in Europe.

    Geopa's work is focused on the follow-up of European policy and initiatives in the areas of social affairs, agriculture, working conditions, skills and vocational training, health and safety at work and undeclared work.
