Goals / Remit
• Shall have a consultative role towards the EU institutions and other stakeholders and give access to its science-based evidence;
• Aims at raising awareness on the increasing obesity trend;
• Aims at raising awareness on the particular form of obesity: abdominal obesity;
• Promotes a healthy lifestyle by eating well, drinking well and moving towards all involved stakeholders (politicians, health professionals, etc.) and the lay public;
• Promotes waist measurement as a way to diagnose abdominal obesity towards health professionals;
