    EUPHA's mission is to build capacity and knowledge in the field of public health, and to support practice and policy decisions through scientific evidence and producing and sharing knowledge with our members and partners in Europe.

    Other activities

    EUPHA publishes a scientific journal six times a year entitled European Journal of Public Health. The EJPH does not only publish refereed original articles, but also provides a forum for discussion and debate of current international public health issues with a focus on the European region.

    EUPHA convenes the European Public Health conference each year (2021 virtual, 2022 Berlin, Germany), bringing together public health experts throughout Europe and beyond. The conferences offer a platform for the exchange of information and an opportunity for international research groups to meet and present their work.

    EUPHA organises theme-based networks (Sections) on specific public health themes, which are international and open to the public health community. The goal is to bring together researchers and public health professionals working in the same field for the exchange of information and the setting up of joint policies, reports and research.

    Projects
    EUPHA is also an active partner in projects:
    - TO-REACH (H2020-SC1-2016-RTD-733274) aimed to prepare a joint European Strategic Research Agenda and Programme and produce research evidence supporting health care services and systems to become more resilient, effective, equitable, accessible, sustainable and comprehensive in Europe and abroad, EUPHA’s role was to disseminate and communicate project progress and results.
    - ExACT (H2020-MSCA-RISE-2018-823995) aims at building a community of academic and non-academic institutions that generates high quality, multidisciplinary collaboration by exchanging knowledge in research and training activities on precision health. EUPHA’s role is to summarise the existing programmes of active citizen engagement in precision health in EU.
    - RIVER-EU (H2020-SC1-2016-RTD-964353) aims at reducing inequalities in vaccine uptake in the European Region. RIVER-EU aims to identify and remove these barriers, specifically focusing on MMR and HPV vaccination in selected underserved and migrant communities by analyzing health system barriers tailoring existing interventions or develop new ones. Research findings will be translated in evidence-based guidelines and an educational platform for health care professionals. EUPHA’s role is to disseminate project progress and results and build capacities among health professionals.
