Goals / Remit
Founded in 2015, the Federation Coalition for Education acts as a pivot, uniting the most important non-governmental entities involved in education in Romania. Envisioning a school where every individual wants and can reach their full potential, the Federation aims to consolidate energies and resources to support a bold vision of learning in Romania.
The Coalition focuses its efforts on five pivotal themes, according to its Manifesto:
Participation and equity;
quality of human resources;
decentralisation;
curriculum and assessment;
financing and good governance.
At the heart of the Education Coalition's mission is open dialogue between all stakeholders in education transformation and collective action. To this end, the Federation aims to intensify its efforts to bring together non-governmental organisations active in the field, practitioners, leaders from the private sector, the public system and society.Main EU files targeted

Established in 2015, the Federation Coalition for Education (http://coalitiaedu.ro/) acts as a pivotal nexus, uniting the most prominent non-governmental entities engaged in the sphere of education in Romania. Envisioning a school where every individual wants and can realize their full potential, the Federation aims at consolidating energies and resources to champion a bold vision of learning in Romania. As a federation comprising 19 member organizations, the Coalition extends its reach to over 300,000 direct beneficiaries.
11 December 2023 The Federation "Coalition for Education" organized the non-conference "Our common mission - education". The event brought together nearly 50 people passionate about learning who have the courage to contribute to change for quality education and equity!
11 November 2023, at TEDx Piața Unirii ED, representatives of the Ministry of Education, students, parents, practitioners and specialists united around our common mission - education.
19 October 2023 the report of the study "Access and integration of children of Ukrainian refugees in the Romanian education system", conducted by the Federation "Coalition for Education" in partnership with the Federation of NGOs for Children (FONPC), was released.
21 April 2016, the Coalition for Education organised a national public consultation to identify the best solutions for initial teacher training on the theme: Master's degree in teaching or psycho-pedagogical module (I + II):
