Goals / Remit
Slovenian Green Urban Infrastructure Association is educational organisation combining professionals that are supporting development and promotion of green urban infrastructure in the territory of Slovenia. We combine architects, developers, green roof & wall entrepreneurs and other specialists and organisations with an interest in green roofs, green facades and other urban green infrastructure elements.
Our key purpose is to work with local authorities on national as well as municipal level and other partners to explain, promote and support green urban infrastructure strategic planning and delivery.
Our brother purpose is to provide a comprehensive overview of the urban green infrastructure concepts and other relevant information to key stakeholders. We will be a driving element to push green urban infrastructure planning in order to develop resilient urban green infrastructure and guide the development of Slovenian cities towards livable cities through the process of (...)Main EU files targeted
Our main goal is to be involved in forming legislation which will support natural based solutions to solve challanges which arise with climate changes. Our purpose is to promote natural based solutions within the following regulations / EU strategies & initiatives:
EU Urban Waste Water directive
EU Flood directive
EU Waterways directive
EU Biodiversity Strategy
EU Green Infrastructure Strategy
EU Pollinator Initiative
EU Nature Restauration Law
EU Energy Efficiency directives
EU Green-house gas emission directive
And within new Green deal we want to be involved in forming proper programs which will imbed natural based solution in to new Renovation Wave and Climate Pact.
