    GPX scope and history
GPX as a company started in November 1999. GPX transformed the idea - a system for showing the origin of a certain amount of generated electrical energy - into a patented concept. This concept aims to bring from the specific place of origine the information of a certain amount of generated electrical energy to a specific end user who is consuming the same amount of electrical energy. It is a new concept in the market. And it is ready for the first stage production. GPX modules are robust, compact, smart & intelligent. GPX presents a technological tool to extent the clean production environment via the anonymous electricity - in the grid - to the users environment. The module shows the origin of green power along with the used power. It thus assures the user of consuming specific energy exclusively. The assurance is approved by authorized body's which are appointed by the national government.

GPX mission: The mission is to introduce and support to implement a new interface for renewable energy for the customer. The motive is to improve freedom of choice on how electrical energy is produced. We support transparancy in this choice as such is wished, wanted or demanded by the consumer. GPX can be applied as a personal solar energy consumption meter, controlled by a mobile telephone. In short: we support the smart meter connection to proof to consumers about the connection to the source, about the supply of energy origin.

    GPX vision: to bring:
    1. freedom of choice for energy mix.
    2. a tangible product for the Kyoto protocol with TRC's.
    3. a product connecting the user to the place where the electrical energy was generated (i.e. hometown, place of birth, etc).
    4. awareness for more people to green energy using an 'energy balance'.
    5. the Æ idea.

    GPX process
    1. The first half of the process is the issuing of the "Guarantees of Origin" (GoO). A GoO is issued to producers of a certain source. After this the GoO's can be traded via (international) trading accounts. When a GoO is used by the energy provider, a cancellation of the GoO is done in order to make sure that the GoO can not be further traded. The second half of the process in communication to the final consumer takes place with booking the "Evidence of Cancellation" (EoC) against the "Evidence of Use" (EoU) in a peer to peer digital transaction.
    2. A stronger and alternative process is the connection of coded source-information (containing source meter identification, production specific data, other specifications and produced energy quantity) via an ICT system of the meter operator directly towards the coded destination (containing destination meter identification and consumed energy quantity), in which no GoO is used because of the more direct transaction and in which the energy produced by the source is not presented to any issuer to receive GoO's for trading or disclosure. In this situation the metering company of the source takes over the role of "issuer" for issuing and cancellation of the energy information supplied to the consumer.

    Other financial info

We at GPX are owner of an interesting patent bundle on the electronic supply of source-information regarding electrical energy. This 20 year patent is called "system for the certified use of electrical energy" and originates from 1999. This patent has cost us a fortune and is established in many countries in Asia, Europe, and North America. However we have had to pass some difficulties: we are well ahead now.
