    Hellenic Fertilizer Association (also known with the greek akronym SPEL) is a professional and nonprofit organization, founded in 1995 and based in Athens, Greece. SPEL represents the manufacture and trade companies that are active in the sector of fertilizers and plant nutrients. The Association comprises 68 members. Our member companies represent all activities related to the production, trade, transport and distribution of all types of fertilizers, complying with the requirements of National, European and International laws. Hellenic Fertilizer Association devotes its attention to the promotion of the efficient, rational and sustainable use of plant nutrients-fertilizers for plant growth. The Hellenic Fertilizers Association concentrates on the science-based promotion of the efficient and responsible use of plant nutrients-fertilizers for plant growth.     Communication activities

    Having an active role in raising the awareness of our members, the society and decision makers, we are organizing campaigns, events, workshops, meetings and training courses regarding fertilizer needs and prospects in agriculture, the role of fertilizers in production, soil health, food quality and in replenishing nutrients on soils, as well as guidelines of the best agricultural practices. The main communication activities SPEL is organizing focusing on:
    Workshops for Fertilising Products Regulation- 1009/2019 implementation
    Training courses for our member and farmers for the best agriculture strategy
    Conference for fertilizers and sustainable management of soil: Quantity- quality and safety of agricultural products
    SPEL also publishes reports, scientific papers, documents and data for the production, distribution and use of fertilizers and plant nutrients.
