Other activities
Imerys has been an active member of IMA-Europe (Industrial Minerals Association) and takes part in a few meetings related to innovation, environment and industrial development policy at the EU. However, there is not much regular access of Imerys people to the EU structures and platforms.
Imerys has also actively supported the European Minerals Day (EMD) initiatives. The EMD is a commitment under the European Innovation Partnership on Raw Materials, seeking to enhance understanding, acceptance and trust of mining operations. The Open Days offer an opportunity to the public to experience how the minerals sector contributes to innovation, regional development, biodiversity, resource efficiency, and safety. The EMD is coordinated by IMA-Europe biennially. Usually it plans a launching events involvement commissioner(s) or some exhibition in the European Parliament in Brussels.
Imerys and its subsidiaries may also take part in some EU-funded innovation programs or projects.Meetings
