    Goals / Remit

    The Index Industry Association (IIA) represents the global index industry and the needs of investors by developing and promoting practices that strengthen markets by advocating the highest level of ethics and integrity. Many of the leading independent index providers in the world are members of the IIA. Part of the IIA’s mission is to consider ways to promote best practices for index providers; its members are dedicated to promoting transparency, sound operational practices, intellectual property rights, education, and effective index management practices.
