    Goals / Remit

    La FIJ, la plus grande organisation de journalistes au monde, représente 600.000 professionnels des médias dans 187 syndicats et associations dans plus de 146 pays.

    Fondée en 1926, la FIJ est l'organisation qui s'exprime au nom des journalistes au sein des Nations Unies et du mouvement syndical international.

    D'abord établie en tant que Fédération internationale des journalistes (FIJ) en 1926 à Paris, elle a été relancée en tant qu'Organisation internationale des journalistes (OIJ) en 1946, mais a perdu ses membres occidentaux au moment de la Guerre Froide et a rémergé sous sa forme actuelle en 1952 à Bruxelles.

    La FIJ :

    Organise une réponse collective afin de soutenir les syndicats de journalistes dans leur lutte pour des salaires équitables, des conditions de travail décentes et la défense de leurs droits du travail.
