Goals / Remit
LEAPS, the League of European Accelerator-based Photon Sources, is a consortium initiated by the Directors of the Synchrotron and Free-Electron Laser user facilities in Europe. Its primary goal is to actively and constructively ensure and promote the quality and impact of fundamental, applied and industrial research carried out at each facility to the greater benefit of European science and society.

LEAPS, League of European Accelerator-based Photon Sources, as a network of National and European large-scale Research Infrastructures serves thousands of researchers from academia and industry from all Europe and beyond. LEAPS organizes different types of activities to contribute to the development of EU policies on research, science and innovation to inform on the role of Accelerator-based Photon Sources to contribute to find solutions to the present and future societal challenges.
