Goals / Remit
Zweck des Vereins ist die Förderung von Wissenschaft und Forschung betreffend Streitlösungsmechanismen und deren Umsetzung im Zusammenhang mit immaterialgüterrechtsbezogenen Streitigkeiten, insbesondere betreffend Patent- und sonstige IP-Verletzungen, Lizenzverträge, Technologietransfervereinbarungen, Forschungs- und Entwicklungsverträge und Vertriebsverträge, sowie der Aufbau eines entsprechenden Netzwerkes interessierter Personen und Vereinigungen. Insbesondere sollen alternative Streitlösungsmechanismen wie Schieds- oder Mediationsverfahren und deren Eignung und Relevanz im vorgenannten Bereich untersucht und diskutiert werden. Ein weiterer Zweck ist die rechtliche Prüfung und Entwicklung geeigneter Verfahrensregeln für die alternative Streitlösung im vorgenannten Bereich.

1) Development of FRAND ADR Case Management Guidelines (available at http://www.ipdr-forum.org/guidelines/)
2) WIPO-IPDR-CIPCO Workshop: Connected Mobility on 29 November 2018 in Munich: This workshop is organized by the IPDR Forum together with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Center for Intellectual Property and Competition Law, University of Zurich (CIPCO) and will be hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich.
3) UCL-IPDR-CIPCO conference on 1 May 2019 in London: The conference will focus on the use of ADR in innovation related disputes in general and provides for the opportunity to present the FRAND ADR Case Management Guidelines paper to a wider international audience. The conference is co-organized by the IPDR Forum together with the University College of London, the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre and CIPCO.
