Goals / Remit
The International Center for Future Generations, established in 2021, is a think tank dedicated to shaping a future where technology not only benefits but also safeguards current and future generations. Its core mission revolves around enabling decision-makers to anticipate and responsibly govern the societal impacts of rapid technological change, ensuring that emerging technologies are harnessed to serve the best interests of humanity. With offices in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, ICFG embarks on a new chapter with the opening of its Brussels headquarters in August 2023.

Communication activities
In 2023, we hosted a luncheon on AI in the European Parliament in July, and have started discussing the challenges that come with emerging technologies with MEPs and Commission officials.
In the autumn of this year and following, we are planning to produce, and distribute publications on emerging technologies, and to promote governance frameworks, and very actionable ideas to prevent harm for society, individual or collective rights, or the rule of law that comes with the extraordinary expansion of technology that we are experiencing at the moment.Other activities
