    Goals / Remit

ThinkYoung lobbies for the presence of young people in European decision-making.

Focused on conducting surveys, organising conferences, producing documentaries and publishing research by young Europeans, ThinkYoung aims to make “Brussels” aware of what young people think. Its vision is to make Europe think young.

    OUR HISTORY

In 2007, as students, we were working in Brussels for one of the biggest European student organisations.
We often participated in conferences and debates where the only young people involved were the assistants or interns of Members of the European Parliament. Very few young people were actively involved in the debate regarding the development of Europe, nor were they mentioned as the subjects of studies and research projects that were presented. Our founders then decided to start an online think-tank where young people were asked, through surveys, what they thought about the future of European integration. They wanted to raise the voice of European (...)

    Main EU files targeted

Research activities on young people conditions, the education system, entrepreneurship framework, EU-Asia Relations and EU Enlargement and neighbour policy.
We are currently following the public consultation on the new programs of the EU commission, green deal, digital revolution, makers movement and the circular/sharing/social economy.

    OUR FIELDS OF ACTION

    Bridging Gaps
We want to show young Europeans the diverse living conditions and the variety of cultures within our continent. We think that mutual understanding is the first step in improving integration and therefore European strength.

    Entrepreneurship
Because young entrepreneurs are key to innovation and growth, we are acting to inspire young Europeans, boosting confidence levels and encouraging them to pursue entrepreneurial dreams.

    Education
This is a particularly focal point at ThinkYoung. We invest in young people’s education with a vision to create better citizens for tomorrow. Our goal is to develop an infrastructure where we offer highly beneficial learning programmes.

    EU-Asia
We aim to connect the European young generation with their Asian counterparts. Through this, our goal is to extract best practices in educational, entrepreneurial and environmental cultures from the two environments, highlight similarities and acquire a greater degree of awareness.

    Energy and Environment
As these issues are undoubtedly a growing concern on a global level, it would seem only fair that young Europeans are provided the opportunities to comment on this topic. Our future projects will focus on developing a platform offering European youth associations concerned with sustainable development, more visibility.
