    Goals / Remit

Vertical Future's ("VF") primary goal is to improve planetary and human health. This is accomplished through science-driven, high-tech, fully-automated controlled-environment-agriculture ("CEA") hardware and software technologies that we deploy across the world. These technologies typically come together to form a vertical farm and can be used to address food and water insecurity, tree nursery production (increasing tree planting survival rates through science), integration with greenhouses to increase output and quality, growing high-quality produce for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, and/or integrating with other technologies to create biofuels. Operating since 2016, we have over 60 staff across engineering, software engineering, commercial, and plant sciences and are recipients of many international awards.

    Main EU files targeted

We are interested in any proposals or policies (especially those that align with the WEF) that support sustainable food production and the reduction of CO2 emissions, casting a broad net because our business touches upon so many areas, as covered in our description. Providing subsidies, loans, grants, or access to dedicated pools of infrastructure capital are of particular interest, as these are some of the key blockers to success and innovation.

The specific meeting we will be attending at the European Commission will be focused on the Green Deal.
