    Goals / Remit

Which? is the UK’s consumer champion, here to make life simpler, fairer and safer for everyone. Our research gets to the heart of consumer issues, our advice is impartial, and our rigorous product tests lead to expert recommendations. We’re the independent consumer voice that works with politicians and lawmakers, investigates, holds businesses to account and makes change happen. As an organisation we’re not for profit and all for making consumers more powerful.

We currently focus on consumer rights and protections (including products safety, consumer rights, international trade, aviation, cost of living) personal finance, digital life (including online platforms, data, digital regulation), scams and sustainability.

    Main EU files targeted

Which? engages on a broad range of issues of relevance to current and proposed EU legislation and policy including financial services, food safety, telecommunications, digital life, product safety, scams and consumer rights and protections.

Key EU measures likely to be of particular interest to us may vary from time to time, but include the EU / UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement, the Digital Services Act, the Digital Markets Act, the Payment Services Directive and recent proposals for its reform, the Product Safety Regulation, passenger rights legislation including the 2023 Passenger Mobility Package.
