Goals / Remit
- Building a European antisemitism monitoring network: One of APL’s aims is to heighten the awareness of antisemitism in the European societies. The primary tool in achieving this is continuous professional monitoring of antisemitic incidents in public life. Neither Jewish communities nor individual Jews can be protected unless there is data on antisemitic incidents and that these are collected and analysed.
- European antisemitism survey:
Action on antisemitism has to be preceded by a scientifically thorough situation analysis. APLE has launched a unique research for Europe, which will investigate antisemitic prejudice in the population of 16 countries. The countries to be studied are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
- European project: School book revisions reflecting on how Jewry and Israel are represented:
Based on the experience and knowledge (...)Main EU files targeted
Action and Protection League as an expert organisation that combating Antisemitism is an advisory organisation to the committee of regions regarding the EU new strategic on combating Antisemitism.
Our representatives are attending the EP delegation for relations with Israel and more committees and frameworks, that relevant to combating Antisemitism.
On November 20-23 APL will hold an exhibition in the EP in Strasbourg under the topic "Reforming school textbooks to ensure positive Jewish representation” , where we will present our education program.
We are consistently in contact with MEPs in order to provide them tools and information regarding combating Antisemitism.
Action and Protection League also produced the Antisemitism Prejudice survey in 16 EU member states, which also delivered to MEPs in order to provide information and tools to EU decition makers and help them to shape the right policy.Address
