    Agroecology Europe is an international non-profit organization and is registered in accordance with the Belgian law from which it derives all rights as a legal entity. Agroecology Europe was created on the 27th of January 2016 in, Belgium and counts today some 150 Members, of which NGOs, Universities, students, PHD students, individual persons, etc. It has a non-profit, European and international goal and is independent from any political or commercial interest.

    Agroecology Europe aims to analyse, design, develop and promote the transition towards agroecology-based farming and food systems in Europe and throughout the world. It intends to place agroecology high on the European agenda of sustainable development of farming and food systems. It intends to foster interactions between actors in science, practice and social movements, by facilitating knowledge sharing and action.
