Goals / Remit
Der Allgemeine Deutsche Automobil-Club (ADAC) e. V. ist als anerkannter Verbraucherverband und mit über 17 Millionen Mitgliedern der drittgrößte Automobilclub der Welt. Nach seiner Satzung ist der Zweck des Clubs die Wahrnehmung und Förderung der Interessen des Kraftfahrwesens, des Motorsports und des Tourismus. In diesem Sinne wahrt er die Belange der motorisierten Verkehrsteilnehmer und setzt sich unter Berücksichtigung des Natur- und Umweltschutzes für Fortschritte im Verkehrswesen, vor allem auf dem Gebiet des Straßenverkehrs, der Verkehrssicherheit und der Verkehrserziehung ein. Der Club nimmt insbesondere die Interessen der Verkehrsteilnehmer als Verbraucher wahr. Der Club vertritt seine Interessen auch gegenüber dem Ausland und wahrt die Belange seiner Mitglieder durch Mitarbeit in den einschlägigen internationalen Verbänden in Zusammenarbeit mit ausländischen Kraftfahrvereinigungen.
