    Goals / Remit

    The ‘Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII’ Association is an International Association with Juridical Personality recognized by the Italian Government in 1972, and has held Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) since 2006.
    The Association is present in 40 countries across five continents, its 2273 members share their lives directly with the poor and the underprivileged, taking care everyday for about 41,000 people. Worldwide, the Association has opened 550 different centres, of which 298 are family homes, and runs several projects, which aim to address the different needs of vulnerable people.
    The Association has estabilished a network comprising 30 social co-operatives and 11 non governamental organisations.

    16th March, online webinar on Migration Pact, Migration Pact a che punto siamo?. Two European parliamentarians were involved (Pietro Bartolo and De Meo Salvatore) and ms. Laura Corrado as member of the European Commission. The video is available here.

    22nd March, online webinar, On the road to inclusion fighting against anti-gypsism and fostering Roma inclusion in local communities, inside the European project Europeo Lactho Drom. Two European parliamentarians were involved (Romeo Franz and Majorino Pierfrancesco)

    7th May, Mestre (Venice), Conference Family, parenting and education. The contribution of institutions towards the family, parenting and education. Two European parliamentarian were involved (Simona Baldassarre and Patrizia Toia)

    9th November, European Parliament, final conference of the project MIRIAM, Gender Based Violence in migrant women. Right to protection and health in the EU. The conference was a hybrid event (in presence and online streaming). Many parliamentarian were involved in the conference (Basso Alessandra, Moretti Alessandra, Adinolfi Isabella, Castaldo Fabio Massimo, Rodriguez Ramos Maria Soraya, De La Pisa Carrion Margarita).
