    Goals / Remit

    Assogestioni is a voluntary non-profit association of companies and other organisations engaged in any form of asset management, including pensions, provided such activity has been duly authorised and is subject to specific administrative supervision. The purpose of the Association is to support economic growth and financial market development and to protect the interests of investors by promoting the development of favourable regulatory and market conditions in order to expand and defend different forms of asset management in Italy, including pension schemes, and also to spread the culture of asset management.
    1. The aims of the Association are:
    a) to cooperate in Italy and abroad with public authorities and institutions,economic, social and cultural organisations and other types of associations and organisations, including by becoming members thereof, in order to research appropriate solutions to issues concerning asset management, complementary pensions and the capital market;
    b) to foster the innovation of legislation governing asset management, complementary pensions and the capital market at international, European, national and regional levels;
    c) to represent and protect the collective interests of members in Italy and abroad;
    d) to protect the interests of one or more members, providing that these are not incompatible with common interests;
    e) to engage in research, documentation and divulgation activities and provide consultancy services and technical assistance in order to further the professional expertise of members and also improve the understanding of asset management, complementary pensions and capital markets;
    f) to promote initiatives to support the systematic, steady and effective growth of asset management, complementary pensions and capital markets;
    g) to make every effort to ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct, which is an integral part of the present Articles of Association, and also to ensure the proper compliance with voluntary self-regulatory rules;
    h) to promote any other appropriate initiatives that provide additional protection to investors through the proper and transparent functioning of capital markets.
