    Goals / Remit

    ECPAR arbeitet zum Schutz von Kindern vor allen Formen der kommerziellen Ausbeutung und sexualisierten Gewalt.

    ECPAT setzt sich dafür ein, dass Minderjährige nicht Opfer von Menschenhandel werden, Kinder im Tourismus und auf Reisen vor sexualisierter Gewalt geschützt sind, Organisationen und Unternehmen Kinderschutzkonzepte entwickeln und umsetzen und sexualisierte Gewalt gegenüber Kindern mittels digitaler Medien wirksam bekämpft wird.
    Auf Basis der 1989 in Kraft getretenen UN-Kinderschutzkonvention engagiert sich ECPAT in den Arbeitsbereichen von Politik, Justiz, Wirtschaft und Bildung und führt in Kooperation mit staatlichen und nicht-staatlichen Organisationen Kampagnen und Projekte durch. Ziele sind unter anderem die Sensibilisierung der Öffentlichkeit und Beratungsarbeit zum Thema Kindesschutz, die Entwicklung von Präventivmaßnahmen, aber auch die Schaffung rechtlicher Grundlagen zum Schutz von Kindern und Jugendlichen vor sexueller Ausbeutung und Gewalt.

    Wir arbeiten derzeit spezifisch zum EU Kommissionsvorschlag zur Prävention und Bekämpfung von sexuellem Missbrauch von Kindern online, der am 11.05.2022 veröffentlich wurde. Hierfür klären wir deutsche MEPs und MdBs über kinderrechtliche Positionen und Spezifika auf.

    Die o.g. Finanzierungshilfen ergab sich aus dem Grant Agreement Number 810389 - Alert Actors Report. Hierbei war Stichting Defence for Children International Nederland - ECPAT Nederland (DCI ECPAT NL) der Haupt beneficiary und ECPAT Deutschland wird unter "other beneficiaries" gelistet und hat die Finanzmittel durch DCI ECPAT NL erhalten. Hierfür wurde ein extra Agreement zwischen DCI ECPAT NL und ECPAT Deutschland e.V. geschlossen. Das Projekt lief vom 1.09.2018-31.03.2021.

    Das angegebene Personal unter Schritt "Tätigkeiten" bezieht sich mit den %-Anteilen auf das aktuelle Geschäftsjahr 2023.

    Der Abschluss des Geschäftsjahres 2022 liegt frühestens Ende Mai final vor.
