    Goals / Remit

EDP is leading the energy transition through unprecedented acceleration of renewables growth and the transformation of energy networks. With around 12.900 employees, we are present throughout the electricity value chain and in gas commercialization activity. We provide electricity and gas to more than 9 million customers and have grown in the past 4 decades into a green energy major at the forefront of the energy transition, present in 28 markets with several of them being in Europe. We have increased our efforts to reduce emissions and decarbonize our portfolio and now expect to be totally coal-free by 2025 and all green – carbon neutral – by 2030. Our climate commitments have been recognized by the Science Based Target Initiative as being aligned with science and the Paris Agreement ambition.
