    RWE is leading the way to a green energy world. With its investment and growth strategy Growing Green, RWE is contributing significantly to the success of the energy transition and the decarbonisation of the energy system. Around 20,000 employees work for the company in almost 30 countries worldwide. RWE is already one of the leading companies in the field of renewable energy. Between 2024 and 2030, RWE will invest 55 billion euros worldwide in offshore and onshore wind, solar energy, batteries, flexible generation and hydrogen projects. By the end of the decade, the company’s green portfolio will grow to more than 65 gigawatts of generation capacity, which will be perfectly complemented by global energy trading.     Regarding the information annual costs related to activities covered by the register: According to the guidelines for the Register, the information on estimated annual costs attributable to activities covered by the Register includes expenses for staff including travel costs, premises and events as well as membership fees for associations. Costs also include activities of the Executive Board and staff members at other locations who spend part of their working time on EU lobbying activities.

    Regarding the information on funds received from the EU bodies from the EU research and development programmes mentioned: RWE was involved in the research and development projects Biofire, Rebecca (financed in RFSC), EU-SCORES, Clara, Loter.CO2M, ADVANCEPEM, GreenDealCO2 and TakeOff (financed in Horizon 2020) and DE Rollout (financed in Interreg). In the fiscal year 2023, after accounting for offset reimbursements, EU funding totalling 1.414 mln Euro was received, partly and not only for the project year 2023.
